What is the Cloudflare reverse proxy and how to turn it on

OptimalUX uses Cloudflare proxy to run experiments. This is why you need to have this service on.
How to turn Cloudflare proxy on
Log in to your CloudFlare Dashboard
Click on the domain you would like to run experiments on.
In the left menu, click on the “DNS” section. You will see the list of your domain’s DNS records.
Make sure you have “Proxied” (orange) status for all “A” and “CNAME” records.
If your record is “DNS only” (grey), click on “Edit” on the right side of the record. Then change the Proxy status to “Proxied”.
Click “Save” below.Do the same for all “A» or “CNAME” records that are not proxied.
How to fix ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
Sometimes turning Cloudflare reverse proxy on causes the website visitors to see the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS message. This is quite a common error caused by wrong SSL (encryption) settings, and it’s very easy to fix.
Log in to your CloudFlare Dashboard
Click on the domain you would like to run experiments on.
In the left menu, click on the “SSL/TLS” section.
Check your SSL/TLS encryption mode. By default, it’s “Flexible”. Change it to “Full” or “Full (strict)”.
This is it! If an unlikely case the problem persists, follow the Cloudflare troubleshooting guide.
